It's Obama Vs. McCain

Barack Obama will face John McCain for the Presidency of The United States.

Obama for America

And as I wrote in early February, it would come down to the push of super delegates.  Because without them, we'd still find both candidates short of the needed delegates.

It happened at 511pm eastern time on June 3, when wire reports announced that Obama has the needed delegates to win his party's nomination.

This came on the same day that we heard mostly from the Clinton campaign.  First that she would concede tonight (after the polls close in South Dakota and Montana) and that she'd consider a VP nod from Obama.

There were later reports that she would not concede tonight and would keep fighting.

Though that is apparently not the case with a large number of super delegates giving their support to Obama.  It includes former President Jimmy Carter.

This is good for the Democrats.  It allows them to push forward.  It allows Obama to focus fully on McCain.

The question is whether or not this comes a couple of months too late.  Has the protracted primary hurt the Democrats' financial coffers and their ability to come together as a party when it matters in November?

We shall see.  Now the race really begins...

Thanks for reading.  TA

When people vote Democrat, they support higher oppressive taxes that stagnate the US economy and drive businesses to foreign countries. Democrats want a welfare state where everyone is equally poor thus justifying their government programs and your reliance on them. Democrats claim to be against discrimination, however they support a tax system which divides the people into classes and taxes them accordingly. DON'T BE FOOLED.

HUH?
My "CORE VALUES".....do not include racism....hatred toward The United States...and having friends who fuel both of the above. Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, Donna Brazile and many others are part of the Destruction of the Party.....I hear a bomb Ticking.

Anonymous YouTube Poster,
A cut and slice job of different trips on different dates- all done in the editing room. You don't even have the balls to give your name, why would anyone take you seriously?
Grow Up! Come Back when you have the courage to give your name when posting. Cowards and liars make anonymous statements.

HUH?

When people vote as a Democrat it is usually because they have a set of core values or views that supports being a Democrat, the same with Republicans, those values or views as a general rule are complete opposites. To base a vote based on anything other than your core values seems to be self destructive. JMO

Louis,
We will be proud to have your support! I have a feeling the DNC is going to rue the day they give the nomination to Obama.

Are you still adamant about not supporting Obama even if he picks Hillary as VP? Just curious.

louis

Obama may have the Nomination for NOW.....

Gladys

Glad to see Hillary gone. Obama is a fool if he accepts Hillary and Bill as Vice Presidential candidates.
