Delightful Delani
Barack Obama's fans come in all sizes. And one of them is named Delani.
Delani, age 22 months
Her mother Kennisha called me last month after learning about my trip with the Obama campaign. She told me about her daughter, Delani who is 22 months old. She lives in the Houston area. She sent along the following short home videos to share with you.
Granted, most children tend to follow the political tendencies of their parents. The younger they are, the more easily influenced.
At 22 months...it's pretty much what Mommy and Daddy say.
Nonetheless, Delani is adorable. And she is well indoctrinated into the ways of Obama. She mentions that Obama is running against Hillary and that his wife is Michelle. She shows off the "fist bump" that Obama and his wife share on stage before speeches.
She even sings "Sign, Sealed, Delivered", the song with which Obama ends all of his rallies. Her mother suggests she will be Obama's next spokesperson. Ahhh...proud parents. Her mom, by the way works in the aerospace industry. Her dad serves in law enforcement.
I think this speaks to the role adults can have on their children and the way they view the political process. Teaching a young child about current events is always a good thing. And while Delani may not grow up to be politically active, her parents are getting her off on the right foot.
Even if you like McCain, Clinton, Barr, Nader, or Paul...this will put a smile on your face.
Thanks for reading and watching. TA

That's my girl!!!!!!!!!
You go Delani.
So proud of you. Let's go make history...........

Delani is absolutely adorable, a cute age where everything she says and does brings a chuckle and smile!!!
Chances are she will reject her parents politics in adulthood. I did! My famly...12 children and my parents were die-hard democrats, union people, entitlements, subsistance, welfare, and free government handouts. Myself and one older brother (first born) chose to go down another political path as adults. We became Republicans, conservative, responsible, accountable, limited government, balanced budgets, very strong work ethic, charitable to the disadvantaged, pay our taxes, never asked for a government handouts. Surviving siblings are voting for Obama for one reason, and only one reason, he is the democrat candidate, Bright, huh?
So, Delani root, root for Obama today, tomorrow you may be rooting for a future Condi Rice for POTUS!

Thanks for sharing this, Tom. You know I love the Obama indoctrination! I'm taking my kids canvassing with me this time around and I always take them with me to vote. Teaching them about the process AND the candidate is important on their road to becoming productive, responsible citizens. I don't take for granted one single day that my kids are first generation Americans. With that come honor and duty.
