The "Revolution" Will Be Computerized

When Ron Paul ended his presidential bid, he told that he was really just beginning his campaign.

Ronpaul62608 Rep. Ron Paul/(R) TX

In that lengthy interview, he talked about a brand new "Campaign for Liberty", and an effort to push forward an agenda he never thought would finally gain so much traction.

Now you may be wondering, "Why, Tom, are you writing about a guy who's out of the race?"

Good question.

And the answer is because he's not really out.  (And it doesn't hurt that he's a Texan.)

While Senator Hillary Clinton has turned her efforts to helping a former rival win the White House, the congressman from Lake Jackson, Texas has done no such thing.

Instead, he now has several websites up and running to continue what HE started.

In an email to supporters this week his team wrote:

With the conclusion of the Ron Paul presidential campaign, the RonPaul2008.com web page will soon be automatically transferred to Congressman Paul's personal web page, www.RonPaul.org At this web site individuals can quickly and easily access any or all of Ron Paul's other web pages, including:

  • The Ron Paul congressional campaign
  • Congressman Paul's official congressional office
  • The new Ron Paul Campaign for Liberty
  • Ron Paul's Liberty PAC, and
  • Ron Paul's F.R.E.E. foundation featuring past issues of Congressman Paul's widely-read monthly newsletter, The Freedom Report.

His new site is essentially a link to his others.  But his momentum seems not to have stalled.  He's planning a large rally in Minnesota at the time of the GOP Convention.  And he's continuing to raise money.

Many in the GOP aren't thrilled with his presence or, for that matter, his supporters.  But Paul has struck a chord.

And while he won't be winning the White House any time soon, his message has a voice for a long time to come.

Thanks for reading.  TA

I would encourage everyone to read what the candidates write and say and then compare that with their voting record. When you do you will find that 99% of they do not follow through on their promises (good or bad), but Dr. Paul has been consistent with his principles. That alone gets him my vote even if it has to be a write in.

Marie, I didn't post that. The posters name is under their post.

Tom, thank you again for recognizing Ron Paul, his work, and his supporters.

Saturday, July 13, there will be a Revolution March on D.C. Thousands are going by 'ronvoy' from all over the country. Here's the website;

Hey Tom... you're the MAN for posting this blog!

I use to be like Socialable thinking he (Congressman Ron Paul) was or is an isolationists. This came, however, by watching the main stream media as they clearly bashed his views. He's actually the exact opposite. Regardless of how anyone feels about him personally he DOES have the views of our founding fathers. I see now that people who attack him are usually low esteemed & fearful people. To believe that 3rd world countries really pose a threat to the most powerful nation in the world is ludicrous. What makes us think that our military in a 130 OTHER countries besides our own will make us safer? Not to mention the financial burden that imposes...

A great misunderstanding...

Jarmar................

Maria, first off, you need to return to elementry schrewl to bush up on yore spilling and grammarical skills (intentional). Isolationist in the vein that he would further isolate America as the world's leading nation...diminishing her power, making her a "third-rate" nation, lowering her citizens standard of living, subjecting her to possible attacks from ambitious foreign powers who want to make a name for themselves, opening up avenues to opportunistic "riff-raff" that would further destroy our culture. Sorry, Ron Paul reminds me of a meek little mouse who is afarid of his own shadow. He should return to his proctology pratice...oh, I thought he was a Proctologist. You say he is a general practioner, internist? One thing for sure, he is not a "brain" surgeon.

Gwen, ISOLATIONIST!

????

You don't know what you are talking about.

He's believes in a NON-INTERVENTIONIST Foreign Policy.

What has our current Interventionist Foreign Policy gotten us today?? McCain and Obama ARE Interventionalists.

You watched a MSM GOP Debate and that's all you walked away with.

I can't blame you too much though. What with a trying to clearly explain your position in a 30-second soundbyte. You, like the majority of Americans, would rather ridicule a man for saying something that you disagree with rather than questioning and researching it.

Tom,
Thanks much for continuing to report kindly about Dr. Paul.....With so many in the media basically ignoring him, you have always been very fair in your bolgs.

For those that call Ron Paul an isolationist, I agree with other posters that EVERYONE needs to read more about him before passing judement. He recognizes that we have so many problems at home that need immediate attention. We should deal more with that than being the keepers of the world. Foreign relations might even improve if we just stop telling the world what to do for awhile....just imagine!!

Bring our troops home, avoid the next supposed war with Iran, secure our borders, stabilize the dollar (which continues to plummet on the world markets). We have much to do to take care of our own country right now. It seems that most of the country only wants to complain about these things, but do nothing to stop the madness. The supposed Presidential nominees don't even seem to address these issues seriously.....

The revolution is only beginning...We just want to save the country. Become informed, read Ron Paul's book--- 'The Revolution, A Manefesto'.....it's a short read, but very inspiring. See if it changes your mind.

The honorable congressman sort of reminds me of the HBO series "John Adams." President Adams was not a good politician in the sense that he always said what was on his mind. He always spoke the truth, even when it was politically a bad idea at a certain time. Ron Paul is the same. He may get flamed by the "haters" but we who are open minded welcome it. Some supporters that the haters fail to recognize are honorable people like Peter Schiff and Jim Rogers. If you don't know them youtube them. Google them too for that matter. I may not agree with everything he says but Ron has my loyalty. He has sacrificed much for liberty. He received the most military donations out of ALL the candidates who ran during the primary season. He is my choice, the militarys' choice, and - with a little bit of imagination - the choice the founding fathers would have liked to be president. As they said in the old days, "Unite or Die. Don't tread on me. Give me liberty or give me death." The neocons and globalists are not backing down, and no TRUE AMERICAN will either.

Long live the Revolution!

ron paul is the only person worthy of the white house!

Sociable,

Riiiiiight. Talking with people, trading with people, dealing with people through diplomacy. Very isolationist! Sanctions, threats and war. That's the way to make friends and keep the lines of communication open with other countries. How can you even make such an uniformed comment? Study his policy...don't just take some one else's word for it, and then look up isolationist in the dictionary.

Gwen, take a closer look at Congressman Ron Paul's political philosophy. To sum it up in one word...ISOLATIONIST! In today's world economy..."THE WORLD IS FLAT"...we cannot go back to isolationist policies of the 18th century.

You know Tom,Ron Paul does have a very strong core support group. I also think that some of his positions are worthy of taking a look at. I am constantly amazed at the young people that are still adamantly for RP. Perhaps he should be Mac's VP??????? Paul certainly brought a new meaning to grass root campaigning and his supporters have an unmatched zeal for their man.
